Dissolve me

I always find this top difficult to style because of the length and the see-through-ness of it. I got it for about £5 in the Zara sale last summer and have worn it about twice since then. Today I've put it with the Hacker dress from Unif, gold glittery socks from Urban Outfitters, a floppy hat from Next last year and Jeffrey Campbell Stinger Spikes.

No Guts

I got these trousers as a Christmas present from my mother. They're perfect as my old leather trousers were getting old and tatty, and I love how these ones sit above the ankle! I'm wearing a T-shirt from No Guts No Glory, a shop in my home town that prints lovely T's. Santa brought me the Topshop socks in his sleigh, and the shoes are Jeffrey Campbell Stinger Spikes.

I'm slowly trying to sort out my room at the moment, I've been such a hoarder in the past but I'm trying to be ruthless with it now. Hopefully in my next post I'll have got rid of a lot more stuff!

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas/time off everything.

Beat it.

I bought myself this shirt in the Urban Outfitters sale for £5! Everything's half price then half price again. Super happy

I dyed my hair earlier today by mixing up all the left overs I had and it went this weird purple colour. Not sure if I like it yet, what do you think?

Take it back

I bought some new leggings today. I got them in H&M kids, and they're so much nicer than adult ones. They're so thick and have no chance of being see-through on the bum, and I love the zip pockets on the front!

Charity shop jacket + blouse, H&M leggings, Topshop shoes + socks

I also got the Katy Perry lashes in Oh, Honey! and they look wonderful. Unfortunately my face isn't photographing very well this evening so I haven't been able to show you a front shot of them, you just gotta trust me on this one. Maybe another day.

All I know is

I got my old Topshop brogues re-heeled last week and I am so happy to have them back! These shoes are everything I love, I searched for new ones like it but I couldn't find any as perfect as these.

I'm wearing a jumper I bought in a handmade/vintage during my trip to Italy in September. I realised I haven't written about it so here's a brief description of events: spent three nights in Milan and three nights in Venice. I had the most beautiful time ever and I want to go back to Italy as soon as possible please.

My trousers are from Zara, and they're just wonderful. I love the little dog print on them! I love trousers that are an inch too short and socks peek through.

We Could Forever

I've taken a little break from blogging for the past few months. A lot has been happening with the move to university, but I've completed my first term studying Fashion Knitwear Design and am back home now.

Yesterday I received my new pair of Jeffrey Campbells! My latest purchase was the Stinger Spikes in Pewter, and they're just wonderful. I haven't worn them outside yet, I'm worried for my ankles as the shoes are very heavy and my feet keep turning over as the soles are so skinny. I'm getting a lot better at walking in them around the house though.

Unif.

I bought this dress a while ago intending to wear it to my friend's 18th but unfortunately I couldn't go. So it's been hung up in my wardrobe for weeks and finally I had a chance to wear it out on Monday night! I don't like posting pictures of new clothes before I've worn them because it makes it feel like I bought the piece for the sole purpose of this blog, but now I have worn it out so here it is:

The dress is by Unif (yes the guys that make Hellbounds and Hellraisers) and I got it from KARMALOOP on sale, but I don't think it's on the site anymore. You could find it if you search 'Hacker Dress by Unif' on Google or something.

If you guys want to get anything from KARMALOOP you can use the rep code horriblelauren to get you 20% off your first order! Enter the code when you get to check-out to receive your discount.

Doll

My mum's been sorting out old clothes of mine and whilst in the bathroom I found this dress hanging up. It turns out it's age 5-6, but I can still squeeze it on! I think it looks quite sweet actually. But maybe too short for everyday wear :)

Cashmere

I found an old cashmere jumper at the bottom of my wardrobe. I forgot how comfortable and wonderful it is. I got it years ago in a vintage shop for £2.50 and it really has served me well.

I'm wearing it with a charity shop shirt, Topshop jeans and Underground creepers.

I just bought myself a new remote shutter for my camera. I haven't figured out how to hide it effectively in photos yet (see last picture) but it sure does make taking outfit photos a hell of a lot easier! I still don't own a tripod, I'll probably need to invest in one soon. Balancing my heavy camera on the top of a wall isn't really an ideal situation.

In other news, I've teamed up with KARMALOOP.com to offer you guys 20% off your first order! All you need to do is enter the Rep Code 'horriblelauren' at checkout to receive discount. You can also use it at Brick Harbor and PLNDR. I have an outfit post with a dress from Karmaloop coming up soon so keep posted guys!

wot

Sorry guys, I've been awfully awful at running this blog. Mainly because I haven't got my own computer and iPad can't do anything cos they're shit.

This is an outfit from ages ago I found on my computer:

Everything's vintage apart from the Jeffrey Campbell Litas.

Since this photo, my hair's changed colour:

I used Stargazer in Royal Blue on top of my orange hair and the colour went green fading to blue at the bottom! I feel like a real life mermaid yeyyy

I also bought this ace tie-dye t-shirt from the vintage shop in town:

Any ideas on how I can style this bad boy? It's proving to be rather difficult...

Sorry for the bad quality photos, they were taken on iPad and iPad really doesn't have the best cameras. God I hate iPads. No-one ever get one please. Mine's ruined my life.

I've got some more outfit ideas to post soon (when I decide to be less lazy) so stay tuned kids!

I'll leave you with this beaut

Maps

This is a photo from ages ago but I thought I'd post it now. I love my map print shirt and leather shorts :) I got them both about a year ago and still adore them completely. I got the shirt from a charity shop, shorts from Rokit vintage, and shoes from Topshop.

It's time to announce the winner of my vintage giveaway! Congratulations to Anni, you've won this ace sequined jumper!

Remember to check out my Facebook guys, if you guys start liking I'll start posting more things. You'll be able to see my new blue hair as well!

Peace out peeps

Friday 20 July 2012

I hope your new girl takes off with a new guy.

My bezzie bud Josh came up to visit me at the beginning of the week and took some photos of me trying to look model-like and stuff in my garden.

In this outfit I'm wearing a vintage shirt, my dad's old binocular case, cut off jeans and Jeffrey Campbell Litas. My pink hair's super faded now so I should probably re-do it at some point. I don't really have much else to do this summer... I've also got a blue hair dye but I'm a bit worried about putting that over my orange hair. OH WELL YOLO. (ew I just said yolo I think I might go and drown myself)
