Fatty

I made quesadillas for my lunch.

First time I've ever cooked by myself (yes I know I'm 18 years old but my mum spoils me okay)

Chalky

I saw a few posts on the Internet about hair chalking so decided to give it a go. I wasn't expecting to get very good results because of my dark hair and previous attempts to put colour in it. But surprisingly the colour came out ace!

Here's how to:
  1. Get some oil pastels (I used WHSmiths Soft Pastels - they've got a chalk-like texture to them), a cup of water, a paper towel, a set of curling tongs/straighteners and hairspray.
  2. Dip the strand of hair you want coloured into water and pat with the paper towel so it's damp (you might find it easier to use a water spray but I haven't got one of those).
  3. Place the strand of hair onto a paper towel and colour it in with your chosen pastel. Always colour downwards with the pastel to keep from damaging your hair.
  4. Use a straightener/curling tong to set in the colour. I've read on line that curling tongs work best, but I don't own one of those and straightening seemed fine.
  5. Hairspray the ends, brush your hair, and you're ready to go!
  6. Just don't go out in to rain/touch it too much or the colour will come out.
Happy chalking!

I got Jeffrey Campbell Back Offs yeyyyyy! They are so so beautiful and so easy to wear. Ive worn them out a few times and the comfort I experienced was heavenly. I even managed to last a full day at college in them. The only downside of them is the silver strip at the bottom, it scratches very easy and there's no way (that I know of) to fix it. But maybe a few scratches could look cool on them, it's not too big of a deal. But, yes, they are a hundred times better than the Litas, so much more comfortable and so much easier to walk in! I feel confident to wear these in the day time, and the Litas have only ever seen the night time outside of my house.

I picked up these shiny little numbers at the charity shop I volunteer at. Snapped them up for £4 (I get half price KER-CHING) and although they're a bit worn on the inside, it's nothing an insole can't fix. But there is no grip whatsoever on the bottom so any ideas on how I could grip-ify them??

Gabba Gabba

Lots has been happening the last few weeks. I got offered a place at Nottingham Trent to do a degree in Fashion Knitwear! yaya! We're beginning to plan our end of year fashion show at college and everything for it seems to have come together this past week. Designing and making garments hasn't started yet, but we've got until the end of June so it'll be fiiiine. I've got some new clothes and some old clothes and got rid of some clothes and got new hair colour. Well, old hair colour. Gone back to my natural brown to give the poor weave a rest for a while.

Got a rad new (old) T-shirt from eBay last week. Sweeeeeeeet. The sleeves were cut off already. I wanted to wear it without a bra but the arm holes are too big and serious amounts of side-boob happened. Hate being a girl.

I wore it today to college with American Apparel disco pants and Underground creepers. Feeling edgy.

Take a Bow.

I've been poorly the past week with a silly kidney infection. I thought I'd cheer myself up by learning how to do my hair like this:

Everyone that knows me will tell you I'm not Lady Gaga's biggest fan, but the bow is so easy and cute and Asian-y!

Ewwwwww look at my roots.

I heart you

Today I needed to photograph a dress I made last summer for my portfolio. Stupidly, my inspiration for the dress design was meat. I thought it would be a fun idea to photograph me holding a lamb's heart.

It was probably one of the most disgusting experiences of my life.

Creep.

I made a resolution to myself when the new year came around - to make more of an effort with this blog. So far it's gone to shit. But as this is my first post of 2012, happy new year folks! There's going to be lots of change for me in the next year, the end of college is coming and the start of university (fingers crossed!) will be happening. In the meantime there's hard work and growing up to be done.

I want to be less of a hipster in 2012. This had already failed by me buying a pair of Underground creepers and Black Milk galaxy leggings.

My hair has also turned many shades of orange. Getting rid of that dip dye has got to be the hardest thing I have ever done. It's still not gone completely, but it's fine. I'm working it. Maybe one day I'll post a photo of when it was in the bleaching process (AKA bright yellow). Oh me and my hair, what are you like.

These are the yummy scrummy creepers my dearest mother gave me for Christmas. They are possibly the heaviest things I own, and I'm frequently finding myself dragging my feet along the ground. But they are surprisingly easy to wear. I thought they wouldn't go with any of my clothes but they make any outfit look super ace.

Smell ya later.
